Work in progress. I have started a new hat/ scarf set for the homeless and collection for them starts again in September.
The little crochet nests are for the local wildlife rescue centre for tiny baby animals to sleep in. As you can see with the white sparkly one I have also found my own use for the little baskets🙂. There is a black sparkly one next to my bed full of crystals …
Simple knits hats and matching scarves. They will be for the autumn/ winter collection for the homeless in the local area. Why not get crafty yourself for charity?
Trying to crochet waves. What would I do without youtube🙂. 2 days break and can’t remember how to do it. Darn!
Maybe with a little bit more practice😀. This is a ravelry pattern.
Moving away a little from charity work with this one having started making my own chakra blanket. This is Style Craft DK light purple (crown chakra) and dark purple for third eye. I went with a light purple as I am not keen on white. 5 more colours to go, but this is a start.
The pattern is by Bella Coco called corner to corner blanket and the video can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5G9IM24LFU
Very easy and quick considering I only started yesterday. It would also make a nice pattern for baby blankets and bonding squares for the Leeds Children’s hospital.
I went to the local library with my little daughter and we found the following book.
Cute enough to buy it now used from Amazon 🙂.
We did a little shopping at hobby craft and got her the first pair of knitting needles. We went for the kids version as they are plastic.
While she is learning the basic knit stitch I got slightly carried away with my first Lil Ms Knitten 🙂. Working on the feet…
… trousers, jumper…
… and TADA.
I added nose and mouth …
… a little bow …
… and a tail which are not part of the pattern in the book.
My first Lil Ms Knitten. A new one in my Lil Misfits collection 😀.
Our daughter was not feeling well having a bit of a cold, blocked nose and a cough. Feeling sorry for herself she asked if Ms Knitten could look after her over night as her teddy is not ready yet. Of course you can.
Thinking about it I took it another step further today not just adding some knitted parts, but gave Ms Knitten a job. I knitted a little bag and placed a small peace of fluorite and a piece of cotton wool with Olbas oil in her back.
Safely tucked away in the bag held together with a press stud. Our daughter is 8 so I trust her to leave it in there. Good night little one and good night Lil Ms Knitten 🙂.
Fluorite: … It is beneficial for colds, flu and sinusitis. Judy Hall/ The Crystal Bible/ p. 130
A little something that I have made. An Angel mala based on 111 beads. The number seems to have more meaning in my life than 108 🙂.
I have used white, plastic crackle beads giving it the shimmer/ glitter effect.
Silver spacer beads and a silver plated wing added.
